I got a late start on the week and Monday's and Tuesday's recipes reflect that. "Life" got in the way and I fell back on old patterns.
I haven't been consistent enough with this diet for new patterns to fully take hold. The biggest, most important step of consistency that I need to establish is preparing most of the evening's meal right after breakfast. When I've done that, I've stayed on track.
I have been VERY consistent with the vintage breakfasts. That tends to be our "family meal" as my son gets up very early (necessitating an early bedtime) and my husband usually works past a normal supper time. Just about every morning will find us at a nicely laid table with a lovely vintage-style breakfast.
I've also been very consistent about not eating a snack between breakfast and lunch and sticking to the "Pickup" I've planned for between lunch and supper. It's the lunch and dinner menus that I'm having trouble making work, mostly because I've not taken the step of morning preparation.
I will concentrate on that task for the rest of the week.
I will not trust my shorts to be truthful about weight loss.
