Water

I believe in drinking water. I believe in it, but I don't always do it.

I have found that I am most successful when I start the day with a glass. It jump starts my mind to want more of that taste. I also make sure I get one before bed. The other six glasses throughout the day are easier if I keep my vintage water glass visible. I sometimes use a straw, but I think it taints my water's taste.

You see, I am a purist when it comes to water. I grew up 2 miles from downtown Tampa (FL), but our property had a well. That water was THE BEST TASTING water I have EVER had. Ask my sister. It was sweet, clean, and yummy. I have never tasted any water that could hold a candle to it.

So, I guess I'm not a purist. I'm actually a water snob.

I don't want lemon or other citrus in my water. I don't want carbonation in my water. I want the water of my youth. Which reminds me of the phrase "Fountain of Youth." You know, I DID grow up in Florida. Ponce de Leon WAS looking for the fountain of youth.

I wonder...could it have been? Could the water in our well possibly have been the...

Nah.

If it were, I'd look a heck of a lot younger than I do!

ha, ha. Love it. The water from my grandparents' well (now my mom's) is the best water ever (that I have tasted). Should we get in a "who has the best water war"? :D Just kidding, of course. There is something about some water that is just better than most any other water.

We can't say it is well water that is good. The well water that my husband grew up on was nasty. Smelled and tasted like oil.

I'm a water snob, too.

My parents sold that house 25 years ago. I tried to see it a couple of years ago. They were gutting it, so there was no way to sample the water.

Maybe that was best. What if it didn't taste like I remembered?

We'll just have our memories, I guess.

(Water War?? Woo Hoo! I have NO idea how we could do it, though. Drats.)
