Thursday

No new recipes, but definitely one FAVORITE one...Chicken Salad with grapes.

I could eat that for lunch every day for a week (and have!). I love me some chicken salad!

I planned "leftovers" for lunch on Friday because cooking like this does provide extra food in some cases. I had to fit it in somewhere!

I feel like I'm back on track, even with the unexpected schedule issues, and should see a good result when I step on the scale on Monday.

I could step up my exercise routine, but right now the moderate level is working at helping me to establish and encourage me.

I have a really cute pattern that I saw on My 50s Year. It went on sale at the fabric store and I snapped it up. I want to make and WEAR this dress, but I can't right now. I've kept it in a visible place to help inspire me to my ultimate goal....CUTE CLOTHES! (Oh, and health, and long life and all that...)

Those are cute dresses! They remind me of the ones June Cleaver wore. I'm voting for the blue one!

Just found you via Destination 1940. Am intrigued by this project. May I follow along? I have a vintage "exchange diet" book from Better Homes and Gardens. I will look for something similar to yours.

Tessa--I'm really enjoying the menus. When I STAY on track, I lose weight. That can be said about ANY diet, but it's fun to shake it up by using vintage books.

Enjoy my journey--let me know if you follow this diet or use your BHandG one. I'll help cheer you on!

Tessa--I just read your "10 things about yourself" post. With running marathons and seeing a little weight gain creeping up this past year, you'll LOVE the recipes in the vintage books! They're healthy, fun, perfect for the WHOLE family, and you can adjust them to provide the calories you need.

Realistic, practical, and healthy. Oh, and fun!
