I mentioned in THIS post that my husband actually requested a Jello dessert. I perused my cookbooks and the Internet. I mentioned several possibilities to him. Finally, he just looked me in the eye and said, "Mix half the Jello with whipped topping and layer it with the unmixed part."

I've got one of those! It's a much later edition though. I actually "borrowed" it from my mom and never gave it back. It breaks my heart that my family doesn't like jell-o.
{Patting hand} There, there. I understand your pain. Perhaps if you were to make the Bavarian things might turn around in your household.
There's always hope.
I'm envious that you have the book! I am on the prowl...and I WILL be making that Bavarian soon!
(I've "borrowed" things from my mom, too. Somehow I missed that one.)
You mean this one?

Shay--that's a different cover than I remember, but do you think its the same year?
More importantly, does it have the "Basic Bavarian" recipe?
OOPS! I never replied to you, sorry! I will have to dig it out and check for the basic Bavarian.
